Tile - Alexandrina of Balasar
Alexandrina Maria da Costa was born on March 30, 1904 in Balasar (Póvoa de Varzim). Alexandrina expressed her devotion to Jesus from an early age, having been very touched when she took communion for the first time. Educated in humility, she grew up to do good, helping the poorest and contemplating nature around her. Bedridden, after suffering paralysis following a fall that occurred while fleeing from evildoers who tried to harm her, the young woman accepts God's will and conforms to his limitations, offering her suffering for the salvation of sinners. He died on October 13, 1955, in peace and fully aware that Jesus was keeping him a place in Heaven.
